Asurion’s Mobile Applications team (AMA), is looking for a skilled Business
Analyst to be part of a  team in supporting the customization and
implementation of existing and new functionality for the AMA product suite.
This is a senior level role that directly supports initiatives for our
Product and Program management team as it relates to AMA enterprise
products.

*Responsibilities:*

•             Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to
define business and operational requirements, systems goals, and identify
and resolve systems issues.

•             Responsible for the creation of formal business and functional
requirements documents to support active projects.

•             Manage assembly of feature backlogs, manage priority
decisions, build content communication and release scheduling for projects.

•             Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and
deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications

•             Help identify and resolve system/product issues.

•             Manage weekly meetings (Scrum or otherwise) to achieve goals.

•             Build strong relationship/rapport with the cross functional
business teams.

•             Provide mentoring/ on boarding for new or junior team members.


•             Assist program management with daily operations for product
launches.

•             Ensure quality of the active SDLC artifacts collectively.

•             Wherewithal for presenting to peers, team or IT/Biz community
on project status, technologies ideas, or other projects.

•             Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify
recommendations and to support purchasing efforts

•             Help maintain high availability for application, and client
support.



*Requirements:*

•             Experience in telecommunications or mobile industry a PLUS.

•             Must understand the concepts of MSF and have previously
practiced within an   SDLC.

•             Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

•             Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and
objectives.

•             Excellent written and oral communication skills.

•             Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.

•             Logical and efficient with keen attention to detail.

•             Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products
as required.

•             Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and
user-friendly language.

•             Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a
high-pressure environment.

•             Strong customer service orientation.

•             Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment.

•             Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business
and functional processes

•             Expected to be an acting and contributing member in the
collective BA community including possible travel to  Nashville and Kansas
City.

•             Maintains proficiency in the application and use of tools
within the department.

•             Effectively communicates the feasibility of requested
deliverables and timelines to the Manager, internal Business, and Project
Stakeholders.

•             Must maintain high quality documentation and will work closely
with product development team.

•             Must maintain a HIGH sense of ownership, and able to work with
a direction instead of being task oriented.

•             Must maintain a manner of leadership and flexibility that
diffuses pressure and promotes a team atmosphere.

•             Strong communicator and willing to build strong business
relationships.

•             Escalates issues to the Management team in a timely and
appropriate manner.

•             Providing results not excuses.

Experience and Educational Requirements

*General*

•             Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Sciences or related
field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and
experience may be considered)

•             6 years experience in one or more of the following areas (or
combination thereof):

o             Telecommunications industry

o             Insurance / claims industry

o             Relevant IT Discipline

•             Expert understanding of SDLC processes preferred

•             Skill in diagnosing and solving complex problems and providing
detailed technical analysis

•             Superior oral and written communication skills. Ability to
exhibit a commanding presence when necessary.

•             Superior computer skills including common business
applications such as MS Windows and MS Office including Excel, Word and
Access.

•             Knowledge of theory and principles of project management

*Technical*

•             Outstanding organization, communication and interpersonal
skills.

•             Strong customer orientation or professional services
background.

o             Capable of interfacing with the client, producing trustable
estimates for long development cycles, and accurately gauging resource
capabilities

•             Proven leadership skills, with the ability to provide ad hoc
team leadership in a focus area

o             Has shown the ability to manage individuals, and multiple
(small) team oriented projects in parallel

o             Has shown the capability of helping individuals along a career
focused path within a single company

•             Has shown the capacity and willingness to recruit resources,
build new resource networks, and retain resources

•             Process design / optimization experience preferred.  Project
Management certifications / training a plus

•             Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Demonstrated
ability to structure analysis and use analysis to help identify root causes
versus underlying symptoms and make solid recommendations for improvement

•             Experience in building and leading a team of associates.
Ability to manage and influence effectively in a matrixed and collaborative
environment at all levels of the organization.
