*****LOCALS PREFERRED…….F2F INTERVIEW MUST……..* *PURPOSE OF POSITION:* The successful candidate in the position will be responsible for assisting the selection of use cases that demonstrate essential or changed interactions of end-users with RouteOne Systems. Working with Sales and Marketing, Business Analysts, and end-users, the User-Interface Developer s/he will create use case story boards, UI Prototypes, and even final, production-ready .jsp components, under the direction of the Senior UI/UX-Designer and application Architects. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: *1. Work with customers and IT teams to establish new user interfaces, enhance existing ones, and troubleshoot production UI issues as they arise in the field. 2. Perform all work in accordance with company’s quality programs, standards and procedures. 3. Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility. 4. Design and develop HTML prototypes from functional specifications, business and user requirements under the direction of the UI-Designer in accordance with the processes outlined by Project Managers and Application Designers. 5. Analyze, create, document, and user interface guidelines and standards. 6. Maintain, design, develop and deliver HTML pages easily converted to .jsp for use in production. 7. Convert HTML mockups to working .jsp code and Java EE application UI components as directed. *ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:* 1. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 2. Demonstrated experience in designing web-based user interfaces with a focus on usability and efficiency. 3. Deep experience with D/X/HTML, CSS and HTML development tools and JavaScript. 4. Must have knowledge of Object Oriented programming and ability to apply it to JavaScript. 5. Must understand concepts of AJAX and the use of asynchronous requests to create interactive web applications 6. Working knowledge of at least one JavaScript library (jQuery, DoJo, Prototype, YUI, etc.) essential 7. Experience developing web-based applications, not just websites, in a high-paced environment using an iterative development methodology is essential. 8. HTML application prototyping experience a major plus. 9. At least 1 year of Java Development experience ideal 10. HTML5 experience ideal *OTHER REQUIREMENTS:* 1. Associates or B.A./B.S. in Electronic Media, Graphic Design, Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems or related field. 2. Formal experience with Usability Methodologies a plus 3. Knowledge of tools like Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks, GIMP or other image editing software. 4. Familiarity with Java EE development IDE such as WSAD, RAD or Eclipse 5. Direct, Hands-on experience with at least one of Struts, JSTL and/or Display Tag frameworks. 6. 3-5 years work experience 7.
