Java Developer Background/Culture of group: The Development team is responsible for providing a highly performant, multi-asset transactions platform capable of supporting the broad range of the trading lifecycle. Recently acquired by our client, the product is being heavily invested in as it has the potential to be broadly used across our client's Markets division. Scope of position: The Java SE Developer will play an integral role in the productization of the Smart Order Routing and Internal Crossing capability within the core platform of the Athena Trader, a highly flexible, low latency trading platform. Responsibilities will include:§ The implementation of core Java code, integration and optimization of field developed custom code, bug fixing for existing features and identifying performance bottlenecks.§ The implementation of unit tests and automated functional tests to improve quality and coverage.§ The developer will work closely with staff in other groups to assist in the creation of specifications, test plans, and documentation. Main responsibilities:§ Reviewing Specifications§ Designing and Implementing core Java code and algorithms using the Athena Trader API; § Designing and Implementing Automated Tests Analysis§ Resolution of Bugs Required skills:1. Financial Market Experience2. At least two years core Java SE development experience3. Five years total development experience, between Java, C, C++, .NET4.
