Skills: Sr. C# DotNet Developer
Location: Mikwakuee, WI
Duration: 6 months

Strong C#/.NET software developer skilled in the area of data access development focusing on new feature/component development as well as maintenance and stewardship of existing system software.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES: 1. Performs investigation/analysis as required by project requirements and specifications. Develops, designs, plans, and implements utilizing standard engineering and/or technology principles and established company processes and procedures to complete assignments per established project deadlines. Uses good software development and engineering judgment in making adaptations or modifications. 2. Provides work estimates; plans and controls development work to meet established objectives for project/system quality, reliability and performance. 3. Analyzes the impact of changes on existing information products or systems and proposes solutions to minimize project/system risk. 4. Analyzes and resolves problems and provides technical assistance as necessary. 5. Provides technical feedback, input and consultation to other developers involved in design or implementation activities as appropriate. 6. Participates in technology transfer initiatives as requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong development experience using .NET, C#
- Object Oriented Software Development
- Familiarity with data access patterns and practices
- Experience implementing multi-threaded, high-availability, high-performance applications
- Knowledge of.Net Framework technologies and tools (Visual Studio, LINQ)
- Solid understanding of and experience with Unit Testing Frameworks and Concepts
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience writing development-level documentation (detailed designs, defect write-up/analysis, solution analysis/proposals, test plans, test results, etc.)
- Knowledge of refactoring techniques and experience maintaining legacy code
- Experience with code management and change tracking tools (e.g. IBM Telelogic Synergy, SVN, TFS, PVCS, Hg, etc.)
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience designing Object Oriented systems, including Design Patterns and UML
- Experience designing multi-threaded, high-availability, and high-performance applications
- Experience writing system-level documentation (conceptual designs, system requirements, high-level designs, etc.)
- Experienced in component-based development
We also require demonstrated understanding of the entire software development lifecycle. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a cross-functional, matrixed team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience. Minimum of 3-5 years direct hands-on, industry software development experience with a minimum of 3 years focused on C#/.NET object oriented software development.
