Please review the requirement below, If you are comfortable and available shoot your updated resume with below information.** *Unix Support Engineers* *Duration: 12 Months * *Location: Denver, CO* *Job Description*: Role & Responsibilities *He/She should have demonstrated and used the following skills:* * * - Solaris, Linux server Installations, trouble shooting and migrations - Perform advanced trouble shooting of UNIX / Linux failures – L3 level support. - Handle escalations from L1 & L2 incident Management team. - Coordination on Problem analysis and providing RCA. - Plan, execute and report Availability, Performance & Capacity management of UNIX servers. - Coordination with vendor / Service provider for problem resolution. - Resolving UNIX / Linux Cluster incidents and problems. - Unix / Linux Patch management - Plan and execute DR requirements for the tower and coordinate the same at project and program level requirements. - Troubleshoot hardware and proved hands and feet support. - Meet reporting requirements and represent the tower in customer, project, program meeting and audits as required. - Manage, maintain & update the Knowledge management database. - Coordinate with customer in creation of SOP’s, Templates, policies, etc. And make sure they implemented and effective. - Making sure that all the resource meets the required security standards, policy and operations standards, quality guideline and procedure and process are followed at all times. - Conduct audits on incident ticket and service request and recommend of improvements - Analysis all the incident, service tickets and initiate for Service improvement and Lean programs. - Excellent Soft skill, Communications skills(Voice & Email) to handle global customers - Process and technical documentation * * *Technical Skills Required* - 4 - 7 yrs in Solaris / Red Hat Linux Server Administration - Expertise on Solaris / Linux L2, L3 support and troubleshooting - Expertise on VERITAS Volume Manager - Expertise on VERITAS Cluster Server - Knowledge on LVM * * *Sun Solaris / Red hat Linux* · Installation and decommissioning · Maintenance and troubleshooting · Space and quota · Upgrades and patch installation · Cluster administration · Vendor coordination for break fix · Kernel Tuning · Troubleshooting RAID and Mirroring · Configure and troubleshoot hardware break fix · Software license tracking and reporting. · Establish remote server management - install server management firmware / software agents and configure alerts · Establish Backup and Recovery Procedures for in scope servers. · Install or upgrade operating system · Install or upgrade VXVM and VCS · Extend and decrease online filesystem · Troubleshooting boot up problems · Service Pack Recommendations and testing · Operating system FIX's · Technology updating · Provide SPOC for remote server backup and restore service requests · Identify additional capacity requirements · Future Upgrade / Migration Strategy · Disaster Recovery Management · Performance Analysis and tuning · Knowledge of SAN/NAS Trouble shooting. · Trend Analysis · Documentation skills. · Exceptional listening and communication skills (verbal and written) · Exceptional client facing and people handling skills Key criteria for evaluation required for Senior / Functional hires *List top 4 qualities for evaluation in order of importance* * * * * *Rank * * Criteria for Evaluation* 1 Should have excellent trouble shooting skills on Unix / Linux domain. 2 Working experience in working with Virtual customers & Teams 3 Should have good oral and written communication skills 4 Flexibility , working in shifts *Thanks & Regards,* *Yunus Basha* Trident Consulting INC | West Hills CA 91307| Tel: 925-353-3776 Email: *[email protected] *|* http://www.tridentconsultinginc.com/* *Linkedin:* * *http://www.linkedin.com/pub/yunus-basha/1a/636/b79 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "KNOW.IT" group.
