Rate - Open ** Over the next several months, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) will be collaborating with the Innotas implementation manager to implement the Innotas Project Portfolio Management & Resource Management “cloud-based” applications at the THECB. Concurrent with this implementation phase, *the THECB wishes to engage a local Project Manager to imbed an experienced lean project manager *for the purpose of assisting the THECB team with re-engineering and improving its project and resource management processes. This integration will serve as a *proof of concept* for future agency lean projects with the following goals: · Elimination of unnecessary steps, eliminating waste and speeding up processes; · Creative problem solving; · Building a process around the user’s needs; · Elimination of process variation; and, · Maximizing employee skills and experience leading to better project management and outcomes. The Worker will assist in the introduction of lean processes, concepts and practices to THECB management and to the THECB/Innotas implementation team members through both formal and informal workshops or presentations. The Worker will participate as a “core team” member on the THECB/Innotas implementation team developing recommendations for implementation of lean processes in project & resource management. The Worker will assist in documenting both the “as-is” and “to-be” THECB processes associated with project management, project portfolio management, and resource management. · The Worker will assist THECB management to identify and document issues related to successful adoption of lean processes agency-wide at the THECB (e.g. recommended training requirements, perceived obstacles, etc.).
