Additionally, this resource will utilize clients Data Services policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the Oracle database environment. Tasks to be performed will include implementing and maintaining Oracle instances; resolving database performance issues, database capacity planning, implement database schemas and objects, and configure backups. The DBA must ensure a quality implementation of new database systems and the consistent, efficient operation of existing database systems. Provides technical expertise and consulting services to the development teams. *JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * EDUCATION: B. S. Degree (Business or Information Technology) * EXPERIENCE: * Minimum 10 years general IT in development, database engineering, or database administration. Minimum 8 years Oracle database administration Minimum 3 years SQL Server database administration *JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)* Experience supporting Oracle database environments. Strong UNIX skills including shell programming, cron, korn shell, and a general understanding of the UNIX AIX operating system. Must have strong Oracle database administration experience.(Versions 9i, 10g, 11g) Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005 database administration a plus.
