Roles/Responsibilities:
• Assists in making applications production ready by preparing and
implementing all relevant DBA processes including job creation / implementation
/ scheduling and operations coordination.
• Participates in design discussions and information engineering sessions
regarding database environment
• Creates testing, staging, and integration environment databases as
required using appropriate database tools.
• Reviews and corrects logical data model for completeness.
• Monitors the health/performance attributes of the DBMS environment and
suggests changes to the environment to maximize performance using current
database tools
• Designs optimal access paths to the data based on the user access
requirements. Reviews SQL and provides recommendations for improvement.
• Implements effective recovery procedures to support mission critical
database applications. Assists in implementing disaster recovery strategies.
Understands and uses recovery management tools.
