You will be based in Calabasas Hills, CA in the Calabasas Point building where you will work*. * In this position, you will be expected to contribute on all layers (Data, Business and Presentation) of new development and migration projects. New development will focus on converting legacy LOB applications to ASP.NET web applications written using VB.NET and SQL Server 2005. For the migration projects you will need to quickly get up to speed on existing applications built using Visual Basic 6.0, Classic ASP and some existing VB.NETapplications. * * *Responsibilities Include:* ** · Analyzing existing applications for possible migration to new application. · Maintaining and enhancing projects by analyzing, designing, documenting, coding and testing computer programs to meet business and performance requirements. · Proposing and implementing enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the systems and applications this group is responsible for developing and supporting. · Provide technical leadership and guidance. *Required Skills / Experience:* * * · Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent in an IT related field · 8+ years experience in design and development of .NET web applications · Comfortable working on any tier (Data, Business or Presentation) · Microsoft .NET framework 2 and beyond · VB.Net · Strong unit testing methodology (NUnit or MSTest) · Visual Studio 2010 · Team Foundation Server · 5+ years experience with SQL Server (2005 and beyond) design and development including stored procedures, views and tables · Visual Basic 6.0 · Strong understanding of web services architecture · Ability to design, code implement and test web based applications · Possess a strong understanding of IT concepts including database concepts, structures, software/application development techniques and testing techniques.
