Please let me know if you have any one for the below position. *Job Title: Ruby On Rails Support Engineer* *Rate: Market rate all inclusive* *Length of Contract:* – Dec 31st. *Location:* Chicago, IL *Skill and Role Summary: * We are looking for a lead Ruby-on-Rails support engineer to support the client website. This person will lead a small 3-person tech team to support the production site, resolve production issues, fix bugs, and develop enhancements to the site. Responsibilities will include managing a small team of software developers, coordinating 24x7 support schedule including on-call support, tracking and resolving production issues, managing software development process for new releases, working with clients on technical issues. Key skills include software development, production support, Ruby-on-Rails, team management, client management. *Main duties and responsibilities:* The contractor will provide production support for client. Specific duties include monitoring production, taking support calls from the client, troubleshooting production issues, deploying hot fixes / patches, tracking and resolving issues. Support will be 24x7, a shift / rotation schedule will be worked out with the team. On-call hours will be required. In addition, the contractor will perform software development activities. Specific duties include fixing bugs, troubleshooting performance issues, performance tuning, developing enhancements to the site, QA and deployment of software releases. *Requirements*: Team Lead Role: Client facing skills, team management skills (small team of 3), 3 years of software development experience in the industry, 1 year min of Ruby-on-Rails experience, 1 year of production support experience. Bachelors degree in software development preferred. Team member role: At least 1 year of software development or support of Ruby-on-Rails.
