Job Description
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing software
deployments in a multi-site SCCM 2007 R2 environment. The candidate must
pose a superior knowledge as well as be able to demonstrate their technical
proficiency in Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007
with experience in managing medium to large environments. The candidate a
solid understanding of standard client/server, networking, and Internet
fundamentals. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot all aspects of
SCCM effectively and understand the product flow patch management, software
distribution and logging in detail. Applicants should also have similar
skills in SMS 2003 and Active Directory Services.

Job Requirements
*• SCCM 2007 deployment and infrastructure knowledge including
troubleshooting, design, and implementation experience.
• Full understanding of SCCM 2007 Hierarchy including setup/troubleshooting
*• Ability to create Advertisement/Collections/Packages within an SCCM 2007
environment.
• Multi-Site software deployments.
• Understanding of setup/use/troubleshooting of software deployment
“Maintenance Windows”.
• Full understanding of downloading and deploying MS patches using WSUS
within SCCM 2007 R2.
• Deploying updates with Systems Management Server or System Center
Configuration Manager
• Reporting with Systems Management Center Systems Management Server or SCCM
2007
• Scripting experience
• Packaging experience should include Wise Studio, but Install Shield
experience may be substituted, along with VBscript and SMS packaging
• Deployment experience should be Systems Management Server and or System
Center Configuration Manager
*• Reporting experience should be based on the SMS database*
• Evaluate alternatives for deploying and supporting applications in a
managed environment.
• Provide 3rd level support for desktop support analysts.
• Evaluates current procedures and processes for accomplishing department
objectives and continuously develops and implements improved practices.
• Consults with customers regularly to identify needs, develop and implement
proposals.
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers.
• Identifies and prioritizes system requirements and enhancements, and
communicates to executive management.
• Plans and oversees the rollout of all changes.
• Responsible for proper escalation, communications, and management of
production system problems.
• Ability to train less experienced staff is required.

• Understanding of all standard operating systems
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM, OSD, Task Sequences, Microsoft SMS,
Microsoft BDD.
• Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks (i.e. WinBatch,
VBScript, Batch Files).
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently or as
part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills: gets along well with others.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Shares knowledge readily and recognizes own need to learn.

Optional Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience, MSCE strongly
preferred
