1. 2 Microsoft BI/DW Developers – We would prefer 1 contract to hire and 1 contractor. The preferred location is Windsor, CT. The job description is below. Duration:1 year plus Location: Windsor, CT Rate: $52/hr. all inclusive. The contract to hire will go 6 months. *BI / DW Architect/Developer* * * *Job Description* - Design and monitor construction of an enterprise data warehouse, working with a team of engineers. - Design and monitor construction of user-facing presentation tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services reports. - Design and monitor construction of ETL processes. - Establish and implement standards and strategies for data management, lifecycle, and quality. - Explain and teach business intelligence and data warehouse concepts throughout the company. - Define best practices and standards for the data modeling process. - Creation and maintenance of the logical and physical data models for the production and Business Intelligence data warehouse and data marts - Participate in data design walkthroughs to communicate data warehouse and Data Mart table designs to ETL developers - Develop prototype views and reports of the data, and work with business users both internal and external to refine their requirements - Demonstrate self reliance in researching technical solutions and product functionality - Continuously improve upon existing approaches by seeking opportunity to creatively transform current business practices into fresh alternative solutions - Identify critical integration issues and develop corrective solutions - Requires hands on development and technical guidance to project team members - Communicate with team members to assess progress of deliverables - Other duties as assigned Requirements / Skillset * * *Essential* *Important* *Asset* Strong experience working in Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SSRS, SSAS and SSIS). X Strong experience designing relational and multi-dimensional models. X Knowledge of administration of SQL Server for transactional and analysis systems X Knowledge of SharePoint Integration for SQL Server Reporting Services X Knowledge of Windows Servers Administration X Able to work remotely for distributed development teams.
