*PRIMARY DUTIES:*
· Design, development and maintenance of company’s core web
location-based application and service products.
· Create and contribute to web system architecture to ensure the
robustness, performance and scalability of entire system.
· Lead a multi-national team in the development and delivery of the
web team’s products and services.
· Participate in architecting next generation map services
· Translate customer need into real and robust applications.
· Translate product requirement into design specifications and
schedules.
· Lead and participate in design and code reviews.
· Interact with customers and clients.
· Provide technical information relating to application for
technical documentation; author internal documentations.
· Work with other developers to set standards and define best
practices for coding and design.
· Share the knowledge and work experience you've gained working in
the related industry.
· Keep up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your
job.
*SKILLS REQUIRED:** *
· Extensive experience in *Java*
· Extensive experience in *JavaScript*
· Deep knowledge of *Postgresql*
· Deep knowledge of* UNIX* operating systems, including *Solaris and
Linux* for development and basic administration.
· Strong experience in *Tomcat* or other web application frameworks.
· Strong working knowledge *of XML, threads, and debugging practices
*.
· Strong knowledge of *web services */ API design.
· Deep understanding of best practices *in server application
security* and *TCP/IP* development.
· Experience with *Apache* and *OpenSSO* is also desirable.
· Experience with *CSS* is a plus.
