Title/Role : Data Warehouse DBA Location : Santa Clara,CA Duration : 6 Months *Job Description: * - The Data Warehouse DBA will be responsible for partnering with ETL and Business Objects developers to ensure a robust and reliable Data Warehouse and business intelligence solution. - The desired candidate will review and implement logical/physical Data models, review and provide recommendations for tuning SQL, and provide input into short-term opportunities for improvement as well as a long-term Enterprise Data Warehouse strategy. - Hands on experience in using tools or custom scripts to monitor the health of the database. - Hands on experience with running and interpreting performance monitoring utilities. - Strong replication experience, in addition to backup and recovery implementations - Experience working with Systems Architects to proactively design and optimize databases and their underlying hardware and OS platforms to meet future capacity planning needs in a high growth environment. Qualifications: - 8 or more years experience with managing data warehouse and data mart platforms, generally experienced in other DB platforms, including worked on Sun Solaris/Linux. - Must have worked on Oracle 9i/10g/11g environments.
