We have a job opening for ETL Datawarehousing QA Tester. Following are the

Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Contract: 6 months+
Openings: 2
MIS QA
Responsibilities:
Perform analysis of the business, functional, and other requirements for new
as well as for existing MIS products and services
Define test conditions, expected test execution results, define the test
data requirements and obtain/generate the test data required; develop,
document and execute manual and automated test cases
Analyze the test execution results in both manual and automated fashion,
file reports about the defects found
Requirements:
Strong understanding of the overall SDLC and the QA role within it
Strong experience with analyzing the business requirements, ability to
derive test conditions from the requirements and document them;
4+ years of experience in the following areas
- Test planning and test case documentation
- Manage test execution, test result reporting and
defect tracking
- End to end test from operational data feeds to
reporting
- Testing Data Warehouse processes in Linux
- Working with offshore teams
Proven experience in assuring the quality of some file processing systems,
data integration, ETL and reporting solutions
Hands-on experience and proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, MYSQL, Shell
Scripting, and Java is critical
Hands-on experience in both the Linux OS user and the programming/scripting
skills for Linux OS is essential
Experience in data analysis; ability to define and prepare/generate the data
required for test executions; ability to analyze the test results; the
skills and interest in automating the results validation processes utilizing
various tools and languages (such as sql, pl/sql, sql-plus, TOAD-like, Linux
shell scripting; ability to program in Java would be a bonus feature)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Attention to detail, patience, and a positive, customer centric attitude are
required
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Able to work under time pressure, in a changing environment
Enthusiasm for tackling complex problems
Understanding of the architecture and principals of the internet-based
client/server applications and experience in validating the quality of B2C
web-based applications
