Work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications Required: . At least 5 years experience working as a senior software engineer. . Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management) tools. . Experience working with SQA to develop tests and plan remediation. . Demonstrated ability to manage software interfaces and other inter-system dependencies. . Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools. . Demonstrated experience with Adobe Flex 3.0 & 4.0 . Demonstrated experience writing FlexUnit test cases . Demonstrated ability managing Flex projects builds . Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing). . Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to resolve problems. . Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision. Desired: . A good understanding of secure software development practices. . Experience developing custom components and skins . Experience with ant and XML . Experience in profiling of Flex applications LOCALS ONLY Title : The PeopleSoft HR Upgrade Specialist Location : NYC, NY Duration : 6+ months Description: The PeopleSoft HR Upgrade Specialist Will have a primary roll in migrating PeopleSoft HR environment from version 8.8 sp1 to version 9.1. This will include an Application upgrade from PeopleSoft HRMS from 8.8 sp1 to version 9.1, a PeopleTools upgrade, a migration from Windows to Unix platform and an upgrade of the Oracle database to version 11g. The successful candidate must be able to work under deadlines, be a team player and have a professional work ethic as well as experience as an Oracle DBA Administrator in HP UNIX and upgrading PeopleSoft HRMS application versions as well as toolsets. Also the person must be available on weekends towards the end of the project as we near the point of production migration. PeopleSoft Centric Technical Skills/Knowledge: Basic/Minimum Qualifications: . A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. . Recent PeopleSoft HR upgrade experience as an upgrade specialist. . Experience with Oracle 11g database and HP UX OS as well Windows operating systems. . Experience and thorough understanding of backup, recovery and database re-org procedures. . At least 5 years of experience with RDBMS is required with Oracle. . 5 years experience with performance tuning and trouble-shooting skills. . 5 years experience with n-tier architecture and database connectivity issues in a client/server environment. . 5 years experience in a lead role providing mentorship and the go-to person regarding any database design and/or performance tuning. . 5 years experience in database security administrator role. .
