*Job Summary:*

The Database Administrator is a team member who has a strong foundation in
database structure, configuration and practice. This member of the Data Team
exhibits a keen attention to detail, a high level of analytical skills, and
an in-depth knowledge of data systems and database modeling. They must be
able to communicate effectively in order to plan and coordinate resources
across multiple teams and systems. They are a dedicated team member
continually focusing on communication and process improvement.

*Responsibilities:*

The Database Administrator responsibilities include but are not limited to:



·         Function in a Development DBA and Data Modeler role as part of an
Agile project team.

·         Participate in the analysis of business requirements and translate
them database solutions.

   - Create physical data design models in a 3rd normal form with metadata.
   - Review and educate project team members on physical model.
   - Maintain a high level of communication with data and project team
   members.
   - Manage, monitor and maintain company databases in development
   environments.
   - Ensure database integrity, stability, and security in development
   environments.
   - Embodying an innovative spirit and a willingness to learn and challenge
   their own thinking and the thinking of those around them.
   - Support Production DBA as a backup team member when necessary.

*Qualifications*

The Development DBA must possess the following competencies:



   - *5+ years of DBA experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and/or 2005*
   - *3+ years of physical modeling experience*
   - *1+ years of experience working with the Agile methodology*

§  Ability to work as part of a larger team to implement an integrated
enterprise solution following an Agile development methodology

   - Strong collaborative spirit and positive attitude
   - Self-directed, flexible, able to prioritize work and deliver results

§  Excellent written and verbal communication skills with development teams

§  Demonstrated experience providing leadership in a team environment

   - Crop Insurance experience is a plus

§  Experience with Erwin Data Modeler a plus

§  Microsoft SQL certification a plus
