*Job Description** & Responsibilities:*
Websphere Portal Developer with strong J2EE skills
5 years experience minimum.

• Development of customer facing website based on business requirements.
• Experience in multiple development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Websphere Portal or related J2EE portal framework.
What is expected of you and others at this level in IT - Center of Expertise
for functional success
• Uses deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process
skills to help internal/external customers and stakeholders identify and
meet their high priority needs while considering cultural and diversity
implications.
• Jointly develops practical implementation plans that consider cultural
sensitivities with other accountable parties.
• Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in specialized
area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices;
• Performs assessments and listens to internal/external customers to
understand and anticipate their needs and determine their priorities in the
context of the overall enterprise.
Accountabilities in this role
• Experience with development and support of large-scale business critical
applications, preferably Commerce B2B, B2C, and/or web applications
• Experience working directly with the business to understand business
priorities, and help align business application strategies with those
priorities
• User-centered-design experience preferred
• Experience with all aspects of the application lifecycle (requirements,
design, development, testing, and deployment)
• Experience developing and documenting conceptual solutions
• Broad set of technology understanding and/or experience:
o J2EE, preferably WebSphere Application Server
o Websphere Portal or related J2EE portal framework
o Database, preferably DB2
o Application Infrastructure (ie network, operating system, storage, etc)
• Solid understanding of web technologies
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and judgment skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize own workload, under changing
conditions, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with other IT teams to advance goals.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Business or related field
preferred or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
• Proficient PC skills; including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
products
