Job Title: Performance Lead
Requirement: Performance Lead w/QTP, client facing, server side testing
experience, Loadrunner, leading 2-3 person performance or testing team (8 plus
years exp is a must)
Location: NYC, NY(only locals)
Duration: 12 months
Required: Face-Face,Telephonic
DESCRIPTION:
The Performance Lead's responsibilities include:
. Writing, executing and maintaining Loadrunner scripts for various
websites.
. Debugging and optimizing scripts; proactively ensuring application
changes are reflected in scripts.
. Analysis of performance-related issues and recommendations for
resolution.
. Clear and thorough reporting of performance results and coordination
and scheduling of tasks. Leadership skills required.
. Recording and tracking defects.
. Ensuring the websites are performing to the agreed upon SLAs.
. Evaluating performance tools and related service providers for their
value to our organization.
. Ensuring personal technical skills are kept up to date resulting in
most effective use in the business place.
. Adhering to industry standards and Scholastic Technology Service
Group-defined guidelines and principles for software engineering.
. Train and assist other performance testers
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to
interact professionally with a diverse group of people.
. Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
. Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient.
. 6+ years of experience with coding and executing performance test
scripts with Mercury Loadrunner.
. Comfortable with Unix, reading logs, server commands.
. Minimum 5 years of experience developing and reviewing SQL queries.
. Experience with Websphere Commerce very desirable
. Minimum 2 years of experience with Quality Center.
. Must also have experience with creating the strategy for test plans and
executing on it
with the development and automation teams.
. Possess a BA or BS from an accredited university.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
This individual will have working relationships with various teams within
Scholastic Technology Service Group and other divisions of scholastic:
. All members of the Scholastic Technology Service Applications
Development team.
. Members of the Scholastic Technology Service Network Operations team.
. Members of the PMO team (e.g., Project Managers).
. Outside vendors and consultants.
. Business units, backend systems, customer service teams, production
support teams.
