Skills needed · Expertise in complete lifecycle Implementation of Business Intelligence with Star and Snow flake Schemas using OBIEE/Siebel Analytics. · Extensive experience in providing end-to-end business intelligence solution by dimensional modeling design, building business models, configuring metadata, Answers, Delivers / iBots, creating reports / Dashboards, cache management, and building OBIEE/Siebel Analytics Repository consisting of three layers (Physical Layer, Business Model & Presentation Layer). · Working knowledge of security, data modeling, aggregate navigation, caching methods (NQconfig, physical tables, event pooling), and connectivity. · Have prior experience in building web services using .net, java. · Patching and upgrading of platform; operational support to ensure availability, reliability, scalability, and performance of OBIEE environment. · Develop and update disaster recovery plans for OBIEE platform. In addition, light-weight UNIX system administration tasks also need to be performed. These include account management, and tracking disk utilization issues. · Strong experience with Oracle database management using command line tools primarily augmented with the Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control, database performance tuning and troubleshooting, and configuration documentation. · Individual should have at least 10 years experience in Information Technology. Over 5 years as an Oracle DBA in a Unix environment. * * *Tasks/Deliverables:* * * *1)Project: E-Book (UK/US)* * * * UK* · Build an independent ETL process to load new or update existing sales into the Oracle database. · Be able to work in a MUD (multi user development) environment for this new repository schema. A new set of several logical, and dimensional fields will be required to support this model. · Create a complete set of dashboards (about 8) specifically tailored to the UK publishing community. · Expand the existing security admin to include the “change of password” feature, BI Delivers via iBot and how to best allow access. *US* · Refine and optimize the existing dashboards with caching methods, add new time dimensions. *2)Project: BookStats (AAP/BISG venture)* * * · Manipulate various documents, in several formats, and consolidate into a single OBIEE compliant file. · Customize load process to run independently and with minimum impact to parallel jobs. · Design the repository, from the physical to the logical layers, to support the front-end reporting interface. *3.Project: Trade* · Optimize the existing load process by applying adequate indexing, partitioning, and segmentation of the supporting tables. · Create a deployment plan for BI Deliver to users. Subscribers need to create, store, and edit iBots on demand. *4.
