If you are not available for any positions, but you know someone who would be a best fit for this job, please don't hesitate to pass this mail on to them. *We also pay a $500 Referral BONUS fee for your referrals when the consultant stay in the role for at least 3 months.* * * Job Title: *Network Engineer* Duration: *6 months* Location: *New Britain, CT* · The Network Engineer position in the Corporate Global Network Services (GNS) Operations and Technology group has the primary objective to plan, design and implement high-availability networks for multiple business units within The position is technical and requires skill depth in several key network technology areas including*; routing, switching, wireless, security*, and *WAN acceleration*. · Advanced knowledge of *TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, IPSec VPN,* and *QoS*. · The successful candidate must be capable of testing new technology in a lab environment and writing architecture and deployment guides for the business. · The position includes 3rd level support escalation and on-call off-hours support on a monthly rotational basis. · It may require some domestic travel and weekend and holiday work. · Some heavy lifting, up to 70 pounds, may be required. * * *Primary Responsibilities * · *Configure Cisco routers* for various WAN technologies, including; private line, frame relay, IP-VPN, and GRE over IPSec VPN tunnels. · Have a strong working knowledge of access *control lists* and *route maps*. · Configure and support *Cisco Catalyst switches*. · Should have good working knowledge of; *VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel*, *and UTP/fiber cabl*ing standards. · Install and support *wireless LAN’s* using secure authentication methods on plant floors and administrative areas. · Install and configure *Cisco WAE/WAVE WAN* accelerators and troubleshoot client to server performance issues. · Have a strong working knowledge of and experience managing *DNS*and *DHCP* protocols. · Ability to troubleshoot complex performance problems involving network and application teams using Netflow and packet capture tools. · Partake in the after-hours monthly support rotation with other GNS members. *Position Requirements: * (This section sets forth hiring requirements for the specified position, as well as necessary skills, experience, educational, experiential, and other requirements necessary for the position such as designations, certifications or licenses. · 4 year college degree – preferably a technical degree (Computer Science or Engineering) · Cisco Certifications preferred – CCNA, CCNP · 1-3 years hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches *Career Ladder: *(Propose future career track opportunities for the position holder.)
