Understanding of inpatient, ambulatory, and clinical/financial workflow related to reports. Crystal Reports Writer Requirements: • Extensive experience designing, creating, testing, and implementing complex reports using Crystal Reports (v 10 preferred) and or Business Objects Enterprise reporting tools • Experience with clinical reporting. • Experience with patient care-oriented databases and hospital-based financial and administrative database applications preferred. • Strong database, SQL, ETL and data analysis skills. • Experience with Oracle PLSQL, Oracle procedures, Oracle BI front end and back end reporting and repository development tools. • Healthcare experience in Hospital, Ambulatory and Medical Practice. Understanding of inpatient, ambulatory, and clinical/financial workflow related to reports. • Excellent business analytical skills and general knowledge of statistics. • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, problem solve and develop solutions. Strong documentation and Communication skills. • Ability to translate user requirements into functional & design specifications. • Ability to mentor junior writers. Preferred: • Familiarity with Surgical Information Systems, Inc (SIS), data elements and database schema preferred. • Experience with IQ Report Writer to Crystal Reports migration. Responsibilities: • Provide expertise and perform report configurations and design to supplement staff on the Report Writing Team. • Creation of complex operational and project-related reports including design, documentation, development, testing, implementation and ongoing support. • Analysis, design, documentation, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of Reporting user interfaces including alerts, prompts, screens, dashboards and templates. • Participate in meetings with stakeholders from physician groups, hospital service departments, information systems, clinic operations and reporting.
