The Lock budget option is described in the help as:
Locking a budget means that Funds will not be able to be modified by librarians
I think this only partially works. What works:
- If the budget is locked, you can't add a new fund to the budget using the
option in the toolbar. It's greyed out.
- It does seem to lock the entries on the acq planning page
But:
- You can still change and delete funds.
- You can add new child funds.
I think the feature should probably look the budget structure and amounts from
getting changed, but that's mostly a guess :)
