Thanks for your answer.
If you are on /cgi-bin/koha/members/members-home.pl there is a patron search
form in the header where you can specify you want to search on dob ("Search
fields: Date of birth").
You could pre-select this field using some JavaScript code.
Would not that fit your needs?
