I couldn't find it in the manual though it may be there. This page http://bywatersolutions.com/2012/07/09/koha-ldap/ talks about the mapping of different attributes for LDAP, and the same could be done for LDAP. We currently utilize LDAP for authentication and overwrite all of our attributes nightly with updates from another department, so we wouldn't need this anymore. It can stay if you think it would be a good feature to incorporate.
