Authority "used in X records" is done by search engine, so when it works, it gets the correct number - I just tested it and it is ok when i remove record with authority linked. Fines linked with items remains linked and show the name of item in description - but it is the question if we do wan't to show it or not then - it could be useful information even if the item/biblio no longer "exists".
