The patch also makes a minor update to staff client CSS to allow for use of biblio-default-view.inc to generate the link and have it styled correctly. To test, apply the patch and update the staff client CSS (https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Working_with_SCSS_in_the_OPAC_and_staff_client). Locate an record in the catalog and view the item details page.
