Have a look at git format --patch and https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Commit_messages. If you compare to patch files from other bugs you will see yours is missing the header line with authorship etc. Also missing bug reference (subject line), description, test plan etc. So this needs a little more work. Please let us know if we can help - I was not sure if you were still around and just trying to encourage someone to maybe pick this up to finish.
