Our CI tooks test again Debian 8,9, 10 and Ubuntu 18.04 with various combinations of MySQL and MariaDB. As such those are the recommended and guaranteed distributions. Now, as Mint is Debian based it's likely to work but we do not officially support it. I'm de-escalating this ticket until it's varified. I think Mason may have given the best advice to check on the mailing list to see if anyone else is having similar issues in a similar configuration. As he also states, the community do not maintain any live CDs and as such asking for support with them here will be met with a lack of knowledge.
