David Cook <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #5 from David Cook <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Fridolin SOMERS from comment #0) > RSS feeds are quite useless nowadays. I disagree about RSS feeds being useless. I have a media project which ingests emails, webpages, and RSS feeds, and the RSS feeds are the most machine friendly data format. I'm always super happy when I find a RSS feed to ingest instead of some other non-standard format. That said, many of my Koha libraries don't want to publish them, so I agree about having a system preference to disable the RSS feed. I'd use it for sure. (In reply to Fridolin SOMERS from comment #3) > The reason is not for a good reason : it is very often broken by translation. > Beeing half XML half HTML makes translation difficult. Yeah, this sounds like an implementation issue rather than a RSS feed issue. I've consumed RSS feeds in mixed English and Chinese and had no problems, so it sounds like we're just not implementing the RSS feed correctly in Koha. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. _______________________________________________ Koha-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.koha-community.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/koha-bugs website : http://www.koha-community.org/ git : http://git.koha-community.org/ bugs : http://bugs.koha-community.org/
