The Batch Extend Due Date tool should add filters for the borrower expiry date
and the number of existing holds on the items. These fields should also display
in the results summary that can be checked before proceeding with the due date
change.
We have amended all due dates while the libraries have been closed during 2020,
but we would not want to extend the due dates for books ln loan to borrowers
who have already left, or in some circumstances if they have an expiry date
before the intended new due date.
Similarly, we may not want to automatically extend the due dates for items that
have existing holds.
