However, I do not have a strong opinion on that. There are five issues that absolutely must be fixed: 1) The ->debug() level needs to work. 2) Private variable need to be eliminated from the module level and the code made thread-safe. 3) The unit test must be changed to not require the database. 4) The $log package variable should not be in Koha::Utils::Logger.
