Local cover images do not appear in OPAC user checkouts tables.
See koha-tmpl/opac-tmpl/bootstrap/en/modules/opac-user.tt.
For example you can see there is the amazon cover with '[% IF (
OPACAmazonCoverImages ) %]'.
