In my opinion the AUTO_RENEWALS notice is unnecessary since we have the
digestible version (AUTO_RENEWALS_DGST).
In my experience almost nobody wants the non-digestible version and many
patrons are annoyed when they are sent multiple notifications undigested.
And less emails per recipient is good.
However, maybe I am missing a good use case for non-digestible auto renewal
notices?
