Libraries are interested in having a new permission setting that would allow
staff members to view information about fines incurred by library users but
would not grant them the ability to make changes to those fines or fees. This
kind of permission could be useful for ensuring transparency and accountability
in managing fines while restricting certain actions to authorized personnel
only.
