At the moment, using a date filter for example in patron search results page or
catalogue detail page requires user to put the date in format 'yyyy-mm-dd'.
However, this isn't quite intuitive if the date is presented in other format
(e.g. dd.mm.yyyy) in the user interface.
Ideally the filtering should be possible using the format set in syspref
'dateformat'.
