I want to add that the setting for the authority type searched also flips whenever you bring in a new record via Z39.50 -- if you set to search by default, don't click any of the restuls, and then add a personal name authority record via Z39.50, the setting switches to personal name. I'd love to see the setting just stay where I last set it (probably default for convenience, as with Heather in comment 1), or else have it be visible on the screen so that I know what it is without an extra click.
