Bug ID: 42135
Summary: Add context to Format

status:
Product: Koha
Version: Main

OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: minor

The word 'Format" is used in several different instances but it has different
meaning. It is impossible to translate with one word.
In article requests it means the physical format like photocopy:
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/includes/patron-article-requests.inc:18
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/circ/article-requests.tt:220
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/circ/article-requests.tt:327
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/circ/article-requests.tt:433
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/circ/request-article.tt:273
In Notices and slips format is a verb. You can format notices and slip with
CSS:
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/tools/letter.tt:805
I do not know the context for the tinymce:
koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/includes/str/tinymce_i18n.inc:2
At least letter.tt and arcicle request related terms should be seperated from
each others so that they can be translated with different words.
Excamples in Finnish
Article requests
Format = "muoto" or "formaatti"
Letter.tt
Format = "muotoile"
