--- Comment #1 from Raina <[email protected]> --- For libraries in our consortium (academic), the current behavior of preferred name causes some challenges when they try to update first names. For example, a student could legally change their first name and it is updated at their school, and they have never provided a specific preferred name to use in Koha. Preferred name gets automatically filled in with their first name, and then when the school sends a patron file with the student's new first name, their preferred name which is their old first name continues to display everywhere in Koha instead of their new first name, unless it is manually fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
