            Bug ID: 42718
Summary: Action log interface recorded inconsistently for
renewals and returns from patron record in staff
                    interface
   Initiative type: ---
        Sponsorship ---
            status:
           Product: Koha
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P5 - low
         Component: Tools
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
        QA Contact: [email protected]

To recreate:
- enable Circulation logs
- check several items out to a patron
- repeatedly renew your items (from the Checkout tab, from the Details tab,
using the Renew All button, using the Renew Selected button)
- check your items in one at a time using the Check in Selected Items button
- search the action logs for module=circulation, object=your patron
- observe a mix of Interface values (Staff Interface, REST API, and OPAC) for
your actions, even though all actions were performed in the Staff Interface

I've confirmed this behavior on main and in 25.11. I've not discerned any
pattern or logic behind the value that is recorded. It is sometimes correct for
many actions in a row.

Bug 37884 describes a very specific case in which a renewal from the staff
client gets labeled as "OPAC" if the user has previously performed a renewal
from the OPAC. While that may be a way to consistently trigger an incorrect
value of "OPAC," it is not the only way to end up with an incorrect value.
