Jason Robb <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #4 from Jason Robb <[email protected]> --- I don't know that it necessarily needs to follow this scheme, but in case it helps, the LC-PCC guidance document on series ISSN shows some varying punctuation rules between the 490 and the 8XX fields: https://www.loc.gov/aba/rda/mgd/seriesSubseries/mg-w-ISSN-Series-01.pdf ISSN is recorded in MARC bibliographic 490, subfield $x. It follows the last element before the numbering within sequence element and is preceded by a comma. 490 _# $a title of series, $x ISSN ; $v numbering within sequence If the series is traced, ISSN is also recorded in MARC bibliographic 8XX, subfield $x. It follows the entire statement, including terminal punctuation. Do not add punctuation after the ISSN. Example 1 Untraced series 490 0# $a Linguistik = $a Linguistics, $x 0023‐6721 Example 2 Traced series 490 1# $a Art reference collection, $x 0193-6867 ; $v no. 26 830 #0 $a Art reference collection ; $v no. 26. $x 0193-6867 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
