That was a fun one.. took me a while to wrap my head around why tests were
failing.. then I read the Symbol docs and it all became a bit more clear.

So, my followup drops the dependency on Symbol::delete_package and replaces it
with an inlined method inspired by https://metacpan.org/pod/Class::Unload.. we
could actually add Class::Unload as a dependency.. it appears to be well
packaged?
