Should Koha automatically send a welcome notice when an email address is added
or changed?
We could also add a verification checkbox next to it that confirms that the
patron received the welcome message (Something that could be confirmed by a
response in the email or if the patron is standing there and receives it. The
email or sms could become inactive after a specified period of time if not
verified. (Looking ahead to bug 33221 being added to the mix)
Often, when I get an email bounce, it is because the email is mis-entered. I
then correct the address, go into notices, and resend the welcome notice. This
process would help automate that.
