This is a problem, as they only have the option to select SMS as the transport type - all buttons in the Email column are greyed out. So they may select a message type using the only buttons available to them - SMS or Print - and not realise they are thereby switching off all their email notifications (including delivery of ILL requests). If they don't have a number in their SMSalertnumber field, they will receive no notifications at all. One of our libraries had a user complaint when exactly this happened. We have now switched off the system preference EnhancedMessagingPreferencesOPAC so users cannot view or change their own preferences, until we have a fix. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
