That was wrong. Bug 35104 is fully on main (store-time repair/validation included), so this bug's dependency on it is already satisfied and the rationale in the commit message (stray ISO 2709 separators being stripped or rejected on save) holds. The separator check added here remains a belt-and-braces guard.
