To recreate:
- update DefaultPatronSearchFields syspref to include date of birth
- go to the patrons module
- search for something (tested with '23529000035676' and 'henry') with search
field set to Standard
- get an error: "400 Bad request"
- update DefaultPatronSearchFields syspref to remove date of birth
- repeat your search, it works!
