The current MARC record editor interface works well for novice catalogers, but
is a little bit too unwieldy for professionals. Some goals of a new interface:
* Textual, much more compact record view
* Free entry of tags and subfields
* As much as possible, keyboard-driven UI
* Direct import and export of USMARC/MARCXML records
* Integrated Z39.50 searching
Some other future goals, which may not be included in this patch series,
include:
* Authority linking/editing, with autocomplete
* Batch record import/export
While consolidated patches will be coming soon, the code is available at
http://github.com/pianohacker/koha, branch pci.
