Our previous LMS had a junktag file where we would specify which marc
fields/subfields should be automatically stripped out each time a new record
was imported via z39.50
e.g. LC/NLM records have a lot of local admin/holdings note fields not needed
by us (many of which we choose not to display anyway) so we have to delete them
after importing. If these fields could be removed automatically it would make
it a quicker process to import new catalogue records & make them shorter so
easier to read.
It would also be useful to be able to specify this separately for each z39.50
