And it makes things no worse, but better in one case.
So no need to revert in my opinion, but a better fix certainly can be submitted. However I don't recommend people spend their time trying to fix pdf label creating. It would be much better to re work the whole feature into a system that doesn't use pdf at all. Since this is just one of the numerous issues we have with encoding and pdf.
