Is there a way that Koha matching rules will match the book records by ISBN if nine of the numbers match in order (ie - the middle)? Is there a way for it to do this?

The check digit at the end of the ISBN changes as well. There are various converter programs on the web, which take into account the check digit change as well. The easiest is at http://www.isbn.org/converterpub.asp, but if you need the actual calculations behind the conversion, you'll need to do some research. I need to modify my ISBN matching rule so that it matches books that MAY have the prefix 978 in front of the ISBN. Does anyone know how to modify the matching rule so that 978MATCH and MATCH will match?
